Should I Switch to Gaynor Mindens?
I use for a long time the Bloch Serenade strong points but I was advised to buy Gaynor Minden because the points are more resistance and durable.
Should I use these tips for dance lesson above all? do you have any experience? And... what is the difference between Gaynor who have the sole white and black soles?
Gaynor Minden shoes are more durable than Bloch Serenades. There is no doubt about that. That's because they are made in a totally different way. This post explains:
Some teachers disapprove of Gaynor Minden shoes because they are so different - so check with your teacher before you buy them.
The real question is, are you happy with your Bloch Serenades? Do they feel good on your feet and do you dance well in them? If they do, I'd be reluctant to switch to another shoe just because they last longer. Many dancers spend years trying to find a shoe that really feels good and works well for their feet.
If the Serenade is right for your foot, then it should be possible to get a good fit in Mindens - but it's vital you get them properly fitted the first time. With Mindens you have to choose your width, vamp height, heel height, box shape, and shank. If you try to buy your first pair online, it's very likely you'll make a mistake on one or more of those choices, and waste your money. Especially the shank - if you need a strong shank in the Bloch Serenade, you'll need a softer shank in the Mindens, and that's hard to assess without trying them on.
I'm not sure what you mean by black and white soles. Some of the shanks are different colors depending on strength and suppleness.
