I’m 13 but after I changed studios last year I had to be held back a grade because their was not enough people for a (grade4) class the 3 people were skipped up (grade 5) and by the time I get to pointe grade I will be 15 should I be worried about my ability to learn v the 12 year olds in my class

If the other girls are able to handle Grade 5, but you were made to stay back in Grade 3, that tells me your new studio is training students to a much higher level than your old studio, and you have some ground to make up. After all, if you were as good as the other girls, your teacher would’ve seen that in your first few weeks in Grade 3 and she would’ve moved you up to Grade 5. I suggest speaking to your teacher and explaining your desire to move up the grades faster, so you can stay with your own age group. She may have some suggestions for work at home or extra tuition.

I’m 12 years old and 5’5 but I weigh 102lbs. Is that too heavy?
