Solo
Suffolk is a fairly new English pointe shoe company, only founded in 2000.
The founder, Mark Suffolk, had previously made and fitted pointe shoes for Freeds for 20 years - and all that experience and skill has gone into the making of his Suffolk pointe shoes.
It's no surprise that his shoes show their Freed heritage - but since many Freed wearers adore their shoes, that's no bad thing!
Suffolk offers three models.
Ensemble
The Solo is best for a medium profile foot. It's a strong but flexible shoe which doesn't need much breaking in, so it's popular as a performance shoe.
The Ensemble is designed for a low profile, semi-tapered foot.
Note that both shoes have a low vamp (U-shaped).
The third model is the Company shoe - but that's a bespoke model which can only be made to order.
