Bloch has created Alpha pointe shoes for the pre-professional and professional dancer only - in fact, they go so far as to warn students not to buy them!

It's unusual in having a 3/4 outsole with a full insole, which gives better support than a 3/4 shank while allowing maximum bend. The combination means that if you're a serial killer of pointe shoes, these shoes may solve your problems with less risk of injury or strain.

Note - these shoes feel horrible at first, but can feel very comfortable if broken in properly. The paste softens with heat and moisture and molds to the foot - so the secret is to wear them in class for a couple of hours, then leave them to dry out and seal them with some shellac or jet glue.

Bloch has used a low noise pasting method for quietness in performance.
