About the Webmistress

+Marisa Wright is a Scottish-Australian dancer/writer.  Not surprisingly, most of her writing is about dance of all kinds.

This site grew out of her memories of buying pointe shoes as a young student, miles from the nearest ballet store (which was a long time ago, as you can see from this grainy old photo - I'm the one kneeling with my toe pointed in front!).
