History of Capezio pointe shoes

Capezio is the largest manufacturer of pointe shoes in the world.  The firm was founded by Salvatore Capezio in New York in 1887.    It was Pavlova's decision to buy his shoes for her company during her 1910 tour that brought him to world attention.
