Gaynor Mindens – a User’s View

I found this personal viewpoint from a Gaynor Minden wearer interesting:

...mainly because it illustrates how vital it is to be fitted properly for GM's.  Why do I say that?  Take a look at this video of her dancing in the shoes:

If you didn't know better, this clip would confirm everything the critics say about Gaynor Minden pointe shoes.  She talks about getting a "whoosh" up on to full pointe and it does look as though she isn't working through her foot.  It also looks as though she's not getting over the box enough.  The problem (I think) is that she's been fitted with a too-hard shank, a common mistake when switching from other shoes.
