Capezio Glisse Pointe Shoe Review

The Capezio Glisse was designed from specifications developed by Gine Chant.  Gine is an ex-dancer herself and also had over 10 years' experience fitting pointe shoes before designing this shoe, and the results speak for themselves - it's one of the best-selling pointe shoes ever!

The Glisse features an extended platform for maximum support.

Good points:

• The high U-shaped vamp gives a nice line and good support for long toes;
• The broader toe box and higher platform give better stability (great for pirouettes);
• The toe box is ideal for square toes;
• The shaved shank enhances your line if you have low arches

Negatives

• If you have high, strong arches, you'll break the shank quickly - buy the Glisse ES (Extra Strong) instead;
• Heel can be baggy (can be fixed by darting) and tends to slip off if you don't use elastic;
• Some people find the longer platform annoying;
• Some people hate elastic drawstrings (which the Glisse has);
• Noisy

Recommended fit is one size UP from normal shoe size.
